And then there's people like Jen who keep telling me how I'm her favorite, but in a way where I can't tell how serious she is. So am I actually in a great spot? Can I take all these people at face value? Some of these people I don't. Like it was weird when Will told me how much he liked me when we never spoke but apparently he wants to ally with me? Marvin's offer came out of the blue, since I ranked him in the middle of my ranking and I didn't think we had talked that much. Louise and David I do trust.

I can probably trust most of these people. It's just so weird to me. I didn't think my social game was that good. I just talk with everyone 1-2 times a day. Is that enough to have everyone loving me? Jen is already calling me Ms. Socialite and that worries me. If she thinks I'm a threat, other people would think I'm a threat too. I'm very interested to see the results for this HOH comp, especially the most alliances/backstab/threatening one.

Speaking of the HOH, I really don't want to win. Who would I nominate? Janelle for one, but who else? I'm aligned with David, Louise and Marvin. I get along well, or think I get along well, with Amy, Austin, Jen, Sarah and apparently Will. I guess Cody, Mark or Kaitlin could work but I don't want to show my hand in nominating them when the week would be used to take out the inactive Janelle. I tried to put answers to the HOH that look like I tried but have some inconsistencies or are unlikely to be the majority (Janelle being both prejury and goat)

I'm probably wrong in taking all of this at face value and assuming I'm loved though. I'm not in any big alliance, nobody is talking about who they would nominate or even what their thoughts are on people unless we've already agreed to work together. It doesn't seem like I'm in the top spot in the game but idk. I'm not going to get paranoid and to be fair, people have approached me talking about setting up a bigger alliance but I've wanted to take it slow so I don't know.

I've been talking to people after the HOH Results got posted and they're all like "I don't know what Marvin will do!" or "I'm worried about getting nominated!" and I'm trying to play along and act disappointed with the outcome but really, I'm thrilled. Marvin came to me two days before he was announced as HOH, asked me for an alliance, and we had a great two hour long talk about what we thought of everyone. I feel confident that I'm one of the closest people to him, if not the closest.

If I really am his #1, then this week is a great opportunity for me. I can try to influence him and get him to put up people where it would help my game if they left, only my hands stay clean. I don't know if I have that kind of influence over him, though. He puts up this jokey, sexual front but he's actually a really smart guy. Luckily, he gave me his impressions on the entire cast, so I feel like I have a good sense of who he would be choosing between.

Austin feels like he might be a polarizing player in the game. There are some people, like Sarah, who think he's full of fluff and a lot of people who really like him. He's telling me that "I'm the one person who he's talked a lot of game with" and that he "likes me a lot". Do I believe him? I do think he likes me but I would be very surprised if I was his favorite. Still, I don't think I need him out, and I feel like there are better options. Though if he was on the block, I might be a little tempted. I want to firm up my relationship with him this week.

lol, Marvin really does not like Cody. Cody is a very intriguing option for this week. I'm on decent terms with him, but I wouldn't consider myself close with him. He also put me for the Most Alliances question, which isn't a great sign. I don't want to focus too much on this competition, but I'm not sure how to take that.

Jen

Jen is convinced she's going up, and she's probably right to worry. It makes sense for Marvin to nominate her if she hasn't even replied. It's very easy to explain and his relationship with Jen can't get worse. I love Jen, but she scares me. A lot. Every single time I have EVER been self-deprecating about my game, she calls me out, even if I was just kidding. When we got to talk on AIM when I was saying how happy I was to have gotten only one vote, she was dismissive and told me how chatty I was. Then today she called me Ms. Socialite. And then she was joking about how it was an accomplishment to not be the first one out and I joked back and she was like "oh please". And then at the end of our chat tonight when I talked about getting us past this week, she was like "oh, I know you will be safe"

These are all super tiny things but when they're added together, it's like JEN! What are you trying to say here? When you add this to her putting me as in the most alliances, it's very worrying. I feel like I'm focusing too much on this challenge but when the person voted Most Likely to Backstab puts you down as In the Most Alliances, alarm bells should be going off. I was getting ready to cut ties with Jen this week but then Louise told me she talked to Jen and she listed me first on her "list" which I guess is her ranking of everyone. I don't know how long it would take to do that but I believe Louise. It's important to remember this was Jen talking to Louise so really I'd be second, but whatever, this makes me feel a lot better about Jen.

I really do like Jen and I don't think I want her out now. This might be a decision I'd regret looking back, but I do talk to her a lot and I'm determined to not let paranoia get the best of me. By the time the early jury rounds roll around, though, and it starts being more about what's best for your game instead of who you don't talk to, I think I'll need her out.

Kaitlin

I would be okay with Kaitlin leaving. I appreciate her not nominating me and when I talk with her I do like her but it's few and far between now. My one concern with that, though, is that this HOH is a great opportunity especially if Marvin is the one who gets blood on his hands. It might be a little of a waste to get out a potential pawn.

Louise

Marvin thinks Louise is playing up her cutesy side, which she very well could be. I love her, though, and I see her being my most long-term ally this game. Marvin is rubbing people the wrong way and I don't know how smart it would be to take David all the way, though with him being seen as such a threat, it benefits me to keep him around and take some heat off of me. Anyway, I don't want Louise going anywhere. It made me feel so bad when she got outraged over me being named as in multiple alliances, when I really was. I haven't told any of Marvin, David or Louise about each other and I'm really not sure how to bring that conversation up. I don't want to sell any of them out. If it was someone less connected it would be a good way to build trust but I see all three being very good allies. But yeah, I will try my best to keep Louise safe.

Sarah wasn't even on my radar, but he does have a point. She's a strong player and I don't have anything official with her. It might be smart to take her out early, before she can do any damage? I'm not sure. I really do like her though, it's so fun when we bitch about everyone and I think that we're close. The opportunity is there, however, and it's something I would consider. Sarah did seem like she was about to bring something up to me, and then I had to go, so maybe she does want to work with me.

Rookie mistake

Like, this came right after we were on the topic of alliances. And then I didn't get a chance to talk to Sarah the rest of the night. So I think she does want to work with me. She definitely shares a lot of negative thoughts about the others, which is a very good sign. So I don't think I need Sarah out now, depending on how she feels about me. From what Marvin said, I don't see him taking a shot at Sarah this early either.

I'm feeling a lot more confident now. I felt like I was starting to go down the road to Paranoiaville in some of my earlier DRs and once I start going down that path, it gets very difficult for me to think logically. I feel like I'm in a lot better place now. I don't have to think about school for a whole week and I'm already feeling a lot less stressed.

I finally feel like I'm getting a sense of where the game's headed, too. The big news from today is that I was invited into two separate bigger alliances. One with Marvin, David and Austin, and another with Marvin, David and Amy. In the first alliance, all of them have told me that I'm their #1. Whether that's true or not doesn't matter, even if I'm not the #1 of all of them, they still want to work with me and that's what I'm taking away. I don't think I'm Amy's #1 but at least I have a deal with her now.

Speaking of that alliance, something seems off about it. David pointed it out and when I look through my chats, I realize he's absolutely right. From my perspective, the day went like this: me and Austin make an alliance, he talks about adding people and suggests David, I bring up Marvin, we talk about if we should bring in anyone else and settle on waiting especially because we don't want to look fake making an alliance with the HOH. Then I leave to go home, ?? happens and when I get back everything has changed.

I get back and Marvin is telling me Austin came to him for an alliance with us and David. He also tells me Amy did the same thing except with her in the place of Austin. Everything is happening so fast, but whatever, everyone is down and Austin makes a group chat for us.

They're all saying the other one came to them. It's really bizarre, and I'm not sure what to make of it. I feel like I'm being really...managed. I don't care how it starts. If you want me with you, just ask. I've also noticed Marvin hasn't rushed to share what he got from Pandora's Box with me either. Which, fair. I wouldn't want to share it either and I haven't outright asked him. But putting it together, maybe I'm not as tight with Marvin as he's trying to make it seem. I like him and I want to work with him. It means a lot that he wanted to work with me and I know that even if I didn't have safety, I wouldn't have anything to worry about. Buttt, Marvin is a good player and maybe I should keep an eye on him.

I also feel really bad about Louise. She wanted me and her to be a pair and I want that too, and I'm being a really bad partner to her. I'm keeping this information to myself though. I don't want to sell that alliance out, and I'm not sure what Louise would do with that info. She hates Marvin and she doesn't have to worry about being nominated by him, and she's close with Jen who also doesn't like Marvin and is on the block. I really do want to go far with Louise but it's too risky to tell her my whole game.

I'm sensing sides starting to form. Right now, if I had to guess, it looks like Jen/Louise/Sarah are at odds with Marvin/Amy/Austin and me and David are in the middle. Obviously this isn't hard and fast, there are plenty of connections between these "groups" and idk how close Amy and Austin are, but that's the general idea. Taking out the people in the middle who I'm not allied with isn't a bad idea at all.

I've gotten over my Jen paranoia too. Her side remarks about how well I'm playing I'm not thrilled with but I really do like her and I really believe that she trusts me. If she considers me a threat I'll figure out what to do later but I want to make sure she survives this week.

I had nothing to do with it, but I'm very happy that Kaitlin got nominated. If I want Jen to stay, her being up on the block against Kaitlin is the best way. I know I saw Kaitlin as a possible ally earlier but I'm just not talking to her enough and she's been very busy. I wouldn't say no to a Cody eviction either, but if he were up against Jen, it wouldn't be a done deal that he would go.

I'd hate to jinx this, but I really do feel like I'm in a very good spot. I just need to be careful not to sketch anyone out, and I should be good. I feel bad about all the double dealing I'm doing, but what am I supposed to say when Austin comes to me telling me I'm his favorite and he wants to work together? No?

Can I just say how hilarious it would be if Cody used the veto on Jen and Marvin had to break one of his alliances the same round he made it? I don't see it happening though.
