Hey, Mark! Welcome to BB: Rise & Fall 13! Please answer these questions when you get the chance. Thank you for applying and we hope you have a great time.
1. This is the [un]lucky 13th season. What twists do you expect to happen?
2. How does not being allowed to use AIM, as of now, affect you and your strategy? Why do you think only posting on the boards and PMing is allowed?
3. Have you communicated with anyone yet? Who has made good first impressions, either through the board or PMs? Who has made bad impressions?
4. Did you enter the game with a set strategy? If so, (how) has it changed now that the game has officially begun and you've probably met some of the cast?
5. What kind of player would you consider yourself? (The hero, the villain, the socialite, the competitor, well-rounded, etc...?)
6. What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
7. What are your pet peeves in people? Are there any kind of players that just really grind your gears? Would you target them automatically or try to work past these differences?
8. (Why) do you think you have what it takes to win Big Brother: Rise & Fall 13?
9. Anything else you'd like to add before your journey for the victory begins?
Keep an eye out for this thread, because Staff may periodically pop in to ask questions or converse with you. Thank you and we wish you the best of luck this season!
1. This is the [un]lucky 13th season. What twists do you expect to happen?
#MysticMark will see all things before they occur and so I have nothing to fear! These other houseguests may be unlucky but I have my copper pennies, salt to throw over my shoulder, a four.... no five!... leaf clover.... and my lucky stuffed bear that my nana gave me.
2. How does not being allowed to use AIM, as of now, affect you and your strategy? Why do you think only posting on the boards and PMing is allowed?
I like it! As the viewers (or whoever gets to view the PM interactions.... I don't know!) it's more interactive for you at the start; you get to see who is talking and who is developing relationships. I think that I do well with my interactions when I have them and can only benefit from communication not being 24/7. Do I REALLY want all of these fools to know how to get a hold of me at all hours just yet?
3. Have you communicated with anyone yet? Who has made good first impressions, either through the board or PMs? Who has made bad impressions?
Amy was the most forwardly aggressive with me today after I made my account. David and Will had fun talking with me about Clue, and Marvin is the funniest so far. Overall I need to do more chatting with everyone, but there's still time for that.
4. Did you enter the game with a set strategy? If so, (how) has it changed now that the game has officially begun and you've probably met some of the cast?
Having a strategy would suggest that I follow through on things that I plan. I typically don't, let's be real. So what am I going to do? Well, hopefully the rest of these kiddos will be cool and I will be able to get along with them well enough to avoid being a target in the early going. From there, I will just make sure that the eviction is never going to fall on me. I don't really need to make any friends this season but I'm not going out and looking to be a villain either.
5. What kind of player would you consider yourself? (The hero, the villain, the socialite, the competitor, well-rounded, etc...?)
Ahh, well, I shoulda just fucking read ahead, shouldn't of I? I feel like anyone who has to say that they're a villain intentionally in an ORG is like one of those pathetic YouTube comment trolls, I have no respect for their art. Natural villains can be really fun, though, as can great heroes. Easily the worst category of people are those who try too hard to be the hero of the story. Attempting to do so will be a great reason for me to blindside you. I think that as a player I'm incredibly independent, rational. I'll be really fun with the group but when it comes time for me to look out for me, I tend to go with my gut and game theory instead of alliances.
6. What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
I think my ability to post a coherent thought and not just an Emoji will assist me in a game where we have to conceal our real identity. Weakness.... and don't you dare tell anyone this.... but I'm, like, old! If this crew stays up late I'll be screwed.
7. What are your pet peeves in people? Are there any kind of players that just really grind your gears? Would you target them automatically or try to work past these differences?
If you think Donald Trump would make a good president, I just don't think that you and I would be able to have a reasonable conversation about the world. That being said, I've worked with some real idiots in my day both professionally and in a game-sense and so I'll do what I gotta do and then just bitch about those nuts in my confessional.
8. (Why) do you think you have what it takes to win Big Brother: Rise & Fall 13?
Oh if you're betting on me you prolly have backed the wrong horse in this race! haha! Seriously! Do you have time to go change your mind? You're fucked! It's not that I don't think I can win, it's something I certainly know how to do. For some reason though I'm finding setting the bar extraordinary low extremely fun at the moment. Maybe I'll surprise you! Or maybe I'll be just another hack playing a British gay reality star from 2014. That's pretty common, right?
9. Anything else you'd like to add before your journey for the victory begins?
This is the first day in the last week or so I haven't had a fever of 102 or higher. I may be hallucinating all of this. Who knows.
