Alright, let me give this a shot. Finally, lol.
I hate week 1, I'll start with that. I just hate having to do small talk at first. But I'm pretty sure everyone does. I for one was kind of happy that we got to private message at first instead of instant message because it gave me a chance to chat with everyone except Marvin who never responded. But instead of having to catch people online at the same time, it was definitely easier this way. I also feel like for the most part, those people who I got a good first impression from, have kind of stuck as the people who I like more than others. I really like David, Porsche and Sarah. They were some of the people I enjoyed the most in our few messages.
That snap vote was kind of gut wrenching. Part of me had a hunch that it could turn out to be the Head of Household vote. I even considering throwing my vote away for Clay in case it was actually for a Head of Household, I figured he'd understand my reasons behind it. I eventually settled on Marvin because realistically, he never responded to me. I felt like it was a fair vote on my part and I stand by it. At the same time, I'm not surprise Kaitlin got a couple of votes. She didn't make a strong impression on people and was pretty forgettable. Luckily, I did consider her an option but didn't vote for her. I'm also curious how Mark decided his vote because I actually reached out to him right after I checked in. Hopefully he wasn't taken back by my over the top entrance.
Right now, I haven't had any gametalk with people. So I don't have any alliances, I don't even know if they are forming. They probably are but I don't know how hard these people will play on Week 1. I should probably read last season and see if there were any alliances done during Week 1. Oops. I'm just trying to be able to chat it up with everyone individually, so even if I'm not part of an alliance. People will want to work with me eventually or not nominate me if they win Head of Household. So I think those 1 on 1 connections is what I'll be focusing on for now.
I think Kaitlin really couldn't make bad or good nominations. Week 1 is kind of random and you use something minimal like "I haven't talked to you" excuses. I don't particularly care for either nominee at this point and I'm going to let them reach out to me if they want my vote. David was a beast during the veto though. I'm not sure if he's trying to establish himself as some sort of challenge beast but is that necessary this early on? I'm probably going to try to steer clear from winning anything for the first couple of weeks. I don't need any unnecessary blood on my hands right now.
Like I said, I don't care for either nominee so my vote is up in the air. Hopefully David will keep nominations the same and I really think he will. Unless there's a good reason, you don't veto someone during week 1.
I've rambled enough so I'll try to give some sort of update before the eviction.
